those parents and coaches that didn't want their kids to play are pretty lame. they could have won, if they tried hard enough. its not their fault that they couldn't beat a team. good teams deserve respect. and respect is given to them by actually playing against them.

You know... back in the day a good team used to be just a well oiled machine. Same chance at success as any of the other local teams. Now-a-days, teams are rigged by rich parents who want their team to be the best that money can buy. In the end, they cry foul because nobody else wants to "lose" to them. F! 'em... they *should* play in a better league instead of rolling over the rec kids. The whole point of organized youth sports is for everyone to learn something. What are the good kids learning by killing teams that suck in comparison? To be @ssholes, just like their folks!

If only they'd do that to the Pats and Yankees...
A few things:
-Running up the score is bad, espically in a game like baseball. Once you are ahead by X amount, it's time to start putting in the subs. The only sport I know where coaches intentionally run up the score is College football so they can get into a better bowl game (and get blown out by a better team). It also leaves bad tastes in other's mouths when they see you do it.
-No one likes to be beaten that badly. This isn't professional, so a lot are in it for the fun.
-That team did have a few oversized freaks on it.
-I feel sorry for the team for what happened to them, but that's life. They say the pen is mighter than the sword for a reason. If everyone was going to forfeit against them as they were, the team would have been de facto banned anyways.
-There's a bit of irony in this; the team of winners now know just what it is like to be picked last. If they'd only had a fatboy or nerd or two playing, this wouldn't have happened. ¦Þ

Nah... they'll be the college drop outs that ran back home because the competition was too fierce and they weren't ready for it (we always kicked butt in our little league games). There is nothing more satisfying than watching an ego shatter when placed against real competition.

Hmm, look at England getting the World Cup in Football and Rugby... They win it once, and since then, they have become crap beyond doubt...! Maybe it's another cause of 'Banning players because they're "Too Good"'?

Helllloooo!
"Since April, the boys have been honing their skills on a field outside the Zion Lutheran Church on Obetz Road. They practice 2½ hours a day, four days a week.
Some have been playing together for four or five years, though not the entire team."
That's what a traveling team does - not a Rec Team.
A *recreation* team lets everyone play and have a good time; *traveling* teams - which is what this one should be - practice hard and play to win (I know, one of my kids is on a traveling team).
The parents and coaches of this team knew exactly what they were doing; now they're whining 'cause they called called for it. I say good for the district and parents that stood up to these bozos!
